How do you install e`tain faux tin tiles?

A.

All of our faux tin tiles are great for DIY jobs, and can easily be installed simply by gluing to any clean hard surface, each tile overlaps to create a repeating pattern and seamless finish. For more information on how to install please see our installation guide under the "How To" tab on our website. All of our tiles are supplied with full instructions.

How do I clean faux tin tiles?

A.

Our faux tin tiles are easy to clean simply use warm soapy water, when using other store bought chemical cleaners, it is always recommended to test first on a cut off to make sure the cleaner will not damage the finish. We recommend using a cloth or sponge rather than steel wool or any harsh abrasive.

How do I cut the tiles?

A.

The tiles are very easy to cut, you can either use a sharp craft knife or scissors, when using a craft knife it is recommended to cut against a steel straight edge. Tiles can also be cut by skill saw or hack saw or similar saw with the smallest teeth.

What adhesive do I use to install the tiles?

A.

All  e`tain tiles can be pasted on ANY hard and plain surface using any Rubber Adhesive or Contact Cement or Loctite Powder Grab.

How long do they last?

A.

E`tain tiles are extremely durable, they are resistant to termite, bacteria, mold, fungus, and not affected by moisture, heat or cold etc. They are easy to maintain and washable. So, they have a very long life. they are Scratch resistant, and UV Resistant so there will be no effect on the colour from direct sunlight and scratches.

Can e`tain faux tin tiles be installed in Kitchens & Bathrooms?

A.

Yes e`tain tiles are water and moisture proof so they can be used as kitchen splash backs and in bathrooms. It is recommended to seal the overlap joins with a silicone sealant when installing in areas with high moisture.

Can they be installed behind a gas or electric hob?

A.

Yes e`tain tiles are Class A Fire Rated by Intertek Testing Laboratories USA. They are non flammable, i.e. they will not support fire and it will not catch flame. Please contact us to know more details on the Fire Rating or to Inspect the certificate.

When installing as a splash back behind a gas or electric hob , make sure there is at least a 3 inch gap between the element and the splash back. The tiles are heat resistant however extreme heat or direct flame may damage the tiles, a 3 inch gap is recommended to avoid any damage.
